Dispatcher Coordinator
Dispatcher Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Receive emergency and non-emergency calls, accurately recording pertinent information.
- Address inquiries and resolve issues by conveying information or offering appropriate solutions.
- Receive and dispatch orders for products or deliveries in a timely manner.
- Prioritize incoming calls based on urgency and importance, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Utilize radio, phone, or computer systems to dispatch crews, vehicles, or other field units to designated locations.
- Monitor the routes and status of field units, coordinating and prioritizing their schedules accordingly.
- Provide field units with relevant information regarding orders, traffic conditions, obstacles, and any special requirements.
- Enter data into computer systems and maintain detailed logs and records of calls, activities, and other relevant information.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a relevant position within a dispatching environment.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in relevant methods such as Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD).
- Fast typing skills and experience in data entry to ensure timely and accurate documentation.
- Knowledge of procedures and guidelines for handling emergency situations effectively.
- Proficient in English, both oral and written, to facilitate clear communication with stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Active listener with excellent communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively.
- Sound judgment and critical thinking skills to make informed decisions in dynamic situations.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
