Network Technician
Network Technician Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust computer networks, connections, and cabling infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance.
- Conduct troubleshooting to identify and resolve system failures and network bottlenecks, ensuring long-term efficiency and reliability.
- Inspect LAN infrastructure regularly, addressing minor or major issues promptly to maintain network integrity.
- Test and configure software applications and maintain and repair hardware and peripheral devices as needed to support network operations.
- Evaluate network performance and identify opportunities for improvement, implementing enhancements to enhance overall efficiency.
- Plan and schedule network upgrades and maintenance activities to minimize disruption to organizational operations.
- Perform regular data backups to safeguard the organization's information and ensure data integrity and availability.
- Provide technical guidance and direction to colleagues on computer and network usage, offering comprehensive advice and instructions as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex network issues and implement effective solutions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a network technician or in a relevant position, demonstrating proficiency in network infrastructure management.
- Exceptional diagnostic, problem-solving, and analytical skills to identify and resolve network issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts and instructions to team members and stakeholders.
- Thorough knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols, and network technologies.
- Hands-on experience with common software and hardware used in network environments.
- CCENT/CCNA certifications are strongly preferred to demonstrate expertise in Cisco networking technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a relevant field is preferred.
